Youth Pastor Position
Youth Pastor at Faith Life

Position Summary:
The Youth Pastor provides reinforcement of the Faith Life Church vision, Leadership, Theological oversight, and direction of the students in a way that creates an atmosphere of vibrant and engaging discipleship and evangelism for the youth of Faith Life Church. You will be required to manage the direction of youth ministry, including building and equipping healthy volunteer teams. This includes the responsibility of equipping parents to lead their teens spiritually.

REPORTING
The Youth Minister reports directly to the Senior Pastor's.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a Christ-centered youth ministry grounded in the gospel, emphasizing the cross of Christ and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Develop and implement a clear, intentional strategy to reach lost students and their families where they live, learn, and gather.
  • Cultivate a ministry culture that values Discipleship, Character, Biblical teaching, Evangelism, and Authentic Healthy Relationships.
  • Teach and preach effectively to youth (6th–12th grade) in age-appropriate, engaging, and biblically sound ways.
  • Equip students to understand Scripture, live out their faith, and engage their peers with the gospel.
 Leadership & Team Development:
  • Recruit, train, and lead a healthy team of youth volunteers.
  • Foster a team culture marked by unity, good character, accountability, encouragement, and shared mission.
  • Partner with parents as the primary spiritual influencers in their students’ lives.
  • Plan and oversee weekly youth gatherings, small groups, outreach events, retreats, and mission opportunities.
  • Manage ministry planning, scheduling, communication, and the basic budget.
  • Work closely under the Senior Pastor’s direction to ensure the youth ministry aligns with the church's overall mission and vision.

  • A clear testimony of Faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, personal, growing, and honoring relationship with Him.

  • A minimum of 4 years of youth ministry experience.
  • Some level of formal Biblical/Theological/Seminary training preferred, but not required.
  • Strong theological convictions centered on the gospel, the cross of Christ, and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach Scripture clearly and compellingly.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and lead teams effectively.
  • Demonstrated excellence as a youth leader.
  • Possess a heart to lead teens into a life-changing relationship with God.
  • Passionate about discipling Teenagers

Children’s Pastor Position
Faith Life Church is seeking a part-time Kids Pastor to lead and oversee a dynamic, safe, and spiritually engaging children’s ministry. The Kids Pastor role is for a high-functioning leader who can build, grow, and sustain a healthy ministry through strong systems, intentional leadership development, and a passion for reaching and discipling the next generation.

Reporting:
  • The Children’s Pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastors.

SALARY:
  • This is a part-time position (20 hours/week) with competitive compensation. Based on character, demonstrated gifting, effectiveness, and ministry growth & development, this role has strong potential to develop into a full-time position with a long-term future.
Work Hours:  Sunday service: 8:30 AM-12:30 PM, Wednesday service: 6:00PM-9:00PM, Tuesday-Thursday 9:30AM-1:30PM. Special Events, seasonal programming, and conferences as needed, etc.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Kids Pastor is responsible for leading and building a thriving, scalable Kids Ministry (birth–5th grade). This role is about leading a large, complex ministry with excellence, systems, and vision.
  • You will oversee all aspects of the department, including safety, volunteer leadership, curriculum strategy, and parent engagement, ensuring that every child experiences Jesus in a safe and intentional environment.
  • This role requires both vision and execution, requiring someone who can create engaging environments for children while also developing leaders, building teams, and implementing systems that allow the ministry to grow effectively.
Children’s Ministry Leadership:
  • Provide vision, strategy, and direction for the entire Kids Ministry.
  • Build and lead a healthy leadership structure (staff and key volunteers)
  • Create scalable systems to support continued growth
  • Set goals and track measurable outcomes for ministry effectiveness
  • Manage children’s ministry budgets, schedules, and supply needs.
Safety & Operations:
  • Develop and maintain best-in-class safety and security systems
  • Oversee check-in processes, classroom ratios, and emergency protocols
  • Ensure all policies align with legal and insurance standards

Volunteer Recruitment & Development:
  • Build a strong, sustainable volunteer pipeline

Curriculum & Experience

  • Create consistent, high-quality weekend experiences across all age groups
  • Partner with other ministries to align discipleship pathways
  • Oversee special events such as child dedications, seasonal events (Ex, Easter & Christmas), VBS, camps, and family-focused gatherings
Parent Engagement & Trust
  • Build strong relationships with parents as primary spiritual leaders
  • Develop communication strategies that equip families at home
  • Handle pastoral care situations with wisdom and empathy

Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading a large kids ministry or similar-sized team/department
  • Strong organizational and systems-thinking skills
  • Have previously demonstrated the ability to recruit, train, and lead teams at scale
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for helping kids and families grow in their faith
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development or evaluation
  • Experience in a church of 250+ attendees (Preferred)
  • Experience building safety systems and volunteer structures (Preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree or ministry training (Preferred)
  • 3+ years in ministry leadership, organizational leadership, or related field (Preferred)

Worship & Creative Pastor Position
About the Position
The Worship and Media Pastor is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing the church’s worship and media ministries. This role provides spiritual, creative, and technical leadership to deliver Christ-centered worship experiences that incorporate both blended (traditional and modern elements) and contemporary worship styles. The Worship and Media Pastor collaborates with pastoral staff, volunteers, and technical teams to create engaging, excellent, and theologically sound worship environments for in-person and online congregations.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:
Worship Leadership
  • Plan and lead God-honoring worship services for the blended and contemporary worship services.
  • Oversee and lead weekly band and praise team rehearsals.
  • Ensure sound doctrine is maintained in all music used within the church.
  • Continually identify and train the praise team and band members.
  • Create worship environments that are God-honoring and excellent in order to lead God’s people into a personal worship experience.
  • Prepare an annual budget for the Worship Ministry.
Media and Production Leadership
  • Oversee the Media Team volunteer director as well as sound, lighting, video, and live streaming volunteers.
  • Competency with soundboard, lighting, video, and live streaming.
  • Work with Media leads to continually identify and train new Media Team volunteers.
  • Work with church staff to appropriately use social media for events and ministries.
  • Prepare an annual budget for the Media Ministry.
  • Oversee the maintenance and replacement of media-related equipment when necessary.
Creative & Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with church leadership to develop long-term worship and media strategies.
  • Participate in creative planning for sermon series, church events, and outreach initiatives.
  • Contribute to branding, storytelling, and visual communication efforts.
Pastoral Leadership
  • Work with the Pastoral Staff to shepherd and care for the members of Faith Life Church.
  • This includes but is not limited to leading in prayer, Bible studies, visitation of members and guests, assisting in outreach and missional events, and performing and coordinating music for weddings and funerals as needed.
  • Participate in staff meetings and other leadership meetings.
  • Intentionally engage in evangelism and discipleship, encouraging and equipping the members of FLC and the music and media ministries to do the same.
  • Serve as a liaison for Ministry Teams that may or may not be worship/media related.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven experience blending and leading a variety of music styles, including gospel, traditional, and contemporary worship in a church setting.
  • Musical proficiency (vocals and/or instrument) with strong leadership presence.
  • Experience with worship planning software (e.g., Planning Center).
  • Knowledge of audio, video, and livestream systems preferred.
  • Ability to lead and develop volunteers across multiple generations.
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
